The semester in Finnish school are further divided into two periods. so for some courses, it only lasted half a semester long. I had one last period. Today is sort of the new school term in this semester. I have two more new mods that last from now till dec. it will be xiong this period!
Okie, i had an exercise in the early morning for math, using mathematica software to draw graph.
Then in the noon, had lunch at dipoli and i went housing to pay up my rent for nov and dec. 603 euros deducted from my hostel! :( hahas.
Oh ya, i went to work on my report cox i have been procrastinating for a long time since last month. got to start doing, dun wanna bring back to singapore and do. but i had some trouble working with my poland partner as he style is really relaxed while i sibei gan chiong.
Was working halfway when i suddenly tot of my choking drain. Called up ISS (housing maintenance) and there were really fast to send someone out to help me clear the drainage in an hours time. The maintenance only knew how to speak in finnish so basically our conversation was by hand signs. i think he poured some powderish chemical into my drain and he closed my bathroom door immediately, indicating to me that it was smelly by pinching his nose. hahas. yeah, the smell was damn pungent! But the drain is able to flow faster now!
Realised i couldn't focus on my report writing while in my hostel and i decided to head to the 24hrs com lab to do it. hah! it was really conducive and I was able to type out my report efficiently!!
Was doing it till past 8pm when my stomach got a bit of gastric from skipping dinner. I grabbed an energy bar from my bag, ate it and head down to the gym after that. Was so excited to meet the Tampere's team yst that i forgot to cancel for the kickbox class i booked! Kana a fine of 4.60 euros >.<
Just when i was about to leave the gym at 10pm, it started raining! gosh! i waited for half an hr in the gym for the rain to stop but then yeah, it continued to rain rather heavily and i decided to just use my umbrella. not because i was lazy to take out my umbrella but when it rains here, it gets very windy and my umbrella is unable to withstand such high wind.
Went to Alepa supermaket to draw some money and did a bit of grocery shopping. usually i dun do grocervy shopping in the sch mart as they are more expensive, so i bought a few items only.
I BOUGHT MY AIR TICKET TO DENMARK!
my paper is ending rather late compared to my friends, on the 20th dec. so yup, can only travel after 20th dec. but i am going to Lapland for a week to celebrate my christmas and birthday with the Santa from 27th dec to 5th jan. I have a day in Finland before i fly back on the 6th Jan!
Thanks to my vietnamese friend here, Hoang who helped me book the ticket with his internet banking acct as i couldnt use my sg ibank to purchase the Finnair domestic flight here.
I am going to Denamark! :D
Yeah I know as an exchange student I am travelling very little, in fact i think i am the incredible studious mugging exchange students ever bah, tt studious character is so hard to change but i have a more balanced life style now, heading gym 4 to 5 times per week. but in anw, i didn't come exchange just to go travelling ard but it is fulfilling my long term dream of gg overseas for studies. furthermore, I have spent a lot on exchange le, if i travel more, i wld have to burden on my parent's finance burden which is not very nice too. Believe i will be back to the Scandinavian to do some Backpack soon in future!
