I am going to tell you about the coolest thing i ever encounter in this school so far!
I started my math module earlier this monday and on tuesday lecture, we were informed by the math professor that we could actually go to this math workshop to do our assignment. it is not compulsory to go there but he told us there will always be math professors or assistants there from 9am to 5pm every weekday at this workshop. If we got any math problem, we can seek them for guidance.
Sounds too good to believe right? but it is happening right here in Finland, in my host university campus!
Yes, we have to submit weekly assignments for this math module, but there is no quizzes! the submission of this assignments weekly contributes part of our final grade for this mod.
After lunch, Ken and i decided to try going to this workshop to do our this week math assignment.
Along the way we got stuck and we seek clarification with the profs on duty then. Gosh! this prof is so nice! he read our math qns, and analyse our work and told us what went wrong! So cool shit right!
In our home university, where got such workshop for us de?! hahas!
I am starting to love the education system here. Indeed, they have the best top notch education as declared by the world. They put in so much resources for bachelor undergraduates! And another thing is, be it u re a foreigner or a local finnish students, ur school fees are FREE! yes, u didn;t see this wrong, it is FREE. this is also valid for master and PHD too!
Their exams are not out here to kill you and they give u sufficient time to think and do. Their main focus is you learn something and enjoy it.
I think this country education achieved this goal. People here know what is true work life balance and i am also slowly adapting to it now. besides studies, i am also doing something i like and exercising regularly here!
