It was the first time i stepped foot in to Helsinki in Finland. Ken's vietnamese friend, Hoang brought us there! He first introduced to us the asia market where there is indian market, hong kong market, china market and their own finnish market.
Good to know that they are selling chinese food in this country but as you know, all the prices are jacked up. for me, i am only staying for a couple of months and my friend will be sending me sg food, so it is not much of a concern for me >.<
Then ken brought me to a specs shop that sells ray bun at an affordable price. finally bought my first pair of Ray Bun. it's the ray bun club master and many of the finnish wore this. the sun here is too glaring and a shades is necessary, not for fashionn but mainly to block out the glaring sun. so for my ray bun, it was on a 50 percent discount. initial price was 150 euros but after discount is was about 80 euros. about 100 plus sing. have always wanted to buy one pair in sg but it was so expensive there. would try to get another pair of ray bun aviator series too if financial allows me.
I took my very first tram ride in Helsinki too!
Then i tried their local finnish fastfood, hesburger. it was more expensive than the macs here and the portion is kind of pathetic. ken was so fed up with the tiny, puny beef patty that he vowed not to ever set foot into this fastfood restaurant. he condemned it. hahas.
oh ya, went to visit the design street in Helsinki and saw this really special coin pouch that i would buy when i come back next time. it cost 18 euros but this design is damn unique. i have been finding a nice coin pouch in sg but the one in finland just catch my eye immediately. oh, went to visit their famous white church!
after a day in Helsinki, we head to the gym for the very first time in the school campus. oh my, i really love the fact that this school gym is not crowded and it is really great! once member of gym, we can also join the other fitness class like kickboxing!!!! i was WTH! i wanted to bring my martial shoes and on seocnd thoughts in sg, i tot i wouldnt get to use it in finland and now i am signing up for their martial arts class. i have sports shoes but i can only play well with my martial shoes! gosh! if no choice, i might take this opportunity to buy another new pair of martial arts shoes since my old one is really old, dating back from 2007!
Oh ya, i went Nordea Bank by myself to open up a Finnish account. Can't wait for the card to come and i can start depositing money into it. no wan carry so much with me. no fun >.<
Day 4 and it got better :)
