my first part-time job

Hey, so the person did contact me at midnight about the job.

my sis and mum were laughing at me and they sound so unbelievable when they learnt that i am distributing flyers.

to my sis she would never think that i would take up such jobs. stupid girl, she think i am only going after attas jobs. hahas.. but i need the money and i also want to have such experience too. so why not? anyway, it's good money and the location is at chong pang, so it was rather near to my house.

So with that, i just came back from my first experience. It was not bad at all. Actually giving out flyer is not difficult, just smile, say hi and the heartlanders will be most willing to take the brochures from you. As i was helping out this enrichment center to give out their brochures, i realised many parents were quite interested and would ask me more. thank goodness i tried to ask more about the company before i went out to distribute the flyers and was able to answer them some basic questions.

heheh! the boss is very nice! $10 per hrs for giving out flyers was rather good money and he gave me additional small amount to ask me buy drinks. I declined as i felt they were already very generous with my pay but the boss insisted. He's really nice! I guess i will be helping out again this weekend. They need manpower for Friday but i have agreed to help out another company distribute flyers at Orchard. Actually they wanted me to work for them tmr again but i advised them not to as the primary schools in yishun area are having some off days and the crowd today around primary schools are very small. Heh! i helped them save money okkie! i managed to asked some parents and students and realised they don't have to go school today and tmr. But Fri they will have to attend school before the school holidays officially start. So Fri will be a good day.

Just hope this enrichment center will prosper with such a nice boss!

First time experience of distributing flyers is not bad! Actually giving out flyers is not that bad at all. It is about your attitude and your willingness to engage with the public. Ya, some might be snobbish and rude but most of them (heartlanders) are friendly and approachable. The most satisfying thing about this job is when you are able to put a smile on their face by thanking them and wishing them a nice day ^^
