Roller Blading camp

hihi ppl! in case you thought i was MIA, i was actually helping out in a children camp organised by MYMCA for the whole week. was too shag to blog daily so yup, decided to blog it after the whole camp ended. yeap, the camp lasted for a week. have to do a report during character development after this =( hahas..but overall, i've really learnt a lot and yeah! was totally immersed in the innocence of a group of 46 kids, age ranging from 7 - 12.
Day 1:

Kids started to stream in one by one at 9 am. haha! they look so angelish when their parents were around! and just when we thought the kids weren't not as hard to handle, we were proven wrong when all 46 kids arrived. goodness! the room was in total choas! i guess it all started with the 3 mexican siblings. so yeah, violence was perfuming in the room. soon, many kids joined in the violence, ran around the room. it was super hard to control them. scold also no use.

then the camp director left us, the helpers to the kids for team building. man, was quite impromptu cause we didn't expect we need to come up with the games ourselves.

so i tried engaging them for certain games..but ah well! they like play almost every games before de lor. hahas.. and it was super hard to catch their attention. wanna teach them the break it down cheer, but most of them weren't responding. some already knew. all in all, the room was in a super mess! then helpers all give up le, let them play among themselves. rich kids.. they either shine out their handphones to video or play games. or PSP or nintendo PS. hahas..back in the good old days, i guess i own nothing worthy if i were their age. sad sia..nowadays kids are really so hao ming.

so we let the kids on their own till 11.30 then we brought them to the restaurant for their lunch. yummy! the food there is simply delicious! we served the kids with fried rice, nuggets and yup ketchup fish. hahas..was drooling when i serve them. hahas.

yeap, then we brought them up to the holding area after lunch to wait for their first blading session at 1.30 pm.

First roller blading session:

the coaches arrived and distributed the kids roller blades and guards according to their size. was kind of chaotic. as some kids were blading for the first time, some of them had problem wearing their gears. so helpers have to help them out.

their initial training place was at the tennis court. but the weather was blaing hot, so coach sandy said it's better to bring them to the covered carpark. hahas..so for the kids safety, the kids had to go down the stairs in a very funny manner since they had their skates on already. hahas.. the scene was shocking and hilarious at the same time. i'll post this picture up at a later time.

yup, so they were taught the basics, such as falling down drill, standing up technique. so i was secretly learning bit by bit =X hahas..

Day 2:

Rock climbing at yishun safra=D

hahas.. the three mexican kids climbed damn fast! they are really good climbers! heard frm their peers that they actually learn rock climbing and are at 2nd level le wor! heheh..my favorite kid, Kei Itabashi also not bad wor! he told me he climb before. a very sporty child. he also join a soccer club in Japan.

afternoon was roller blade session under the amk mrt track. the place was in total choas. then we forgot to bring the water for the kids. so have to buy water for them. hahas..the coach taught us to bird feed the kids.. lol! as in the kids open their mouth and we pour the water into it.

Day 3:

Pizza making at pastamania factory! (Jon, dun be jealous wor! =P)

we went to the staff relax area to make pizzas. the facilities there for their staff not bad sia, got pool table and the soccer thingy. plus, their toilets are very beautiful and high class! =) don't belief me, well, the photos will prove it to you =D hahas..

then for lunch! wohoho! pastamania pizza and pasta! each until very song! hahas.. their pizzas not bad and the pasta they cook, finally is suitable for me! =D

then afternoon was roller blading session under the amk mrt track. this time, i decided to learn to roller blade. hahas...kana laugh by the kids there but nvm lah. though was a bit malu when i fell. but hey! who learn roller blade nv fall before? hahas.. but i managed to grasp some of the basics for blading =)

Day 4:

Muffin making.

Heh! jiu know it's a choas when there are more male helpers! hahas.. was helpin my group a lot cause i baked muffins before =P u guys should hae seen how other grps make their muffins.. hahas..mine erm at least look presentable =X hahas..BHB =P

yeah! roller blading at the same venue again! but this time i learn a lot from helen. she taught me to go down slope, how to slow down speed and steer left and right. hahas..fell a lot of times but the guards protected me. the kids were very helpful too! they helped me wheel around when they see i was stuck lol! what i need now is to practice and fall more! hahas..gonna get a few pals to blade with me =D

Day 5:

Treasure hunt at bishan park..well, it really wasn't a treasure hunt lor...was kind of boring and the kids complained to me. i guess it's only just to let time pass bah. hahas.. and the weather was sorching hot! in the end, i let my kids played in the playground =)

YEap, last roller blading session at the bishan park. helen didn't come today so yup, didn't get to blade much. =( hahas.. the kids were blading round bishan park.

oh ya, natalie the pri 4 ownself bake a cake for us! so sweet and nice of her! =D hahas..

so throughout the whole camp, i've learnt tt it is not easy have patience esp with the kids! and erm, i actually scolded the kids lots of time =X hahas.
