1st week of school....

Day 1, 14th April mon

First ever module attend--IDEA(innovation, design and enterprise in action)
Goodness... also a module that i dread.
it's all about teaching us to be creative you know..those sort of coming up with your own ideas or modify a present product etc and you'll have to present to ur class in front of your classmates. duh... boring..after so many years of studying dead books, now i'll have to crack my head to come up with interesting and unique products. the lecturer was like so immerse in his own world, talk talk and talk. imagine seeing for 4 hours! ok lah, not that bad either... he did show us some of the creative designs and products which we're amazed.

The two hour lunch break was super packed. though the sch has 6 food courts but still all very crowded and erm... some were just so far away. no choice, have to go to the express food court which only has kfc and pizza hut. maybe it's fast food bahs, so the waiting time not that bad. order a personal pan hawaii pizza for just 5 bucks. rather reasonable.

proceed to lecture for engineering maths. goodness... no wonder many students are scoring in this module. if u guys want to know why, just ask jonathan... he helped his friends in this course before. the lecturer also very cute lah..gives me ancient feeling... like i'm in the 80's lesson like that. some even went to rest their head on the desk and ZZzzz right away. these kind of ppl really steady. but some without a maths background were struggling... so i think it's quite hard for the teacher to suite the need of every one in this lecture class.

then for our last lesson is digital electronics. something to do with computing. however, lecture haven't start. so the cher released us early.

went to buy two thick and heavy text book, total cost 80 bucks like that. Woooo... still have to buy a toolset that cost 108 bucks next wk T_T.

Day 2
had our very first practical on PEEE. tell you arh... the cher really talk a lot of crap, sometimes quite funny also. but in any way, we did start our practical after his crap. then i realised why engineering usually dun allow colour blind. the resistor that we used it's so different from sec and jc. we have to analyse the ohms of the resistor through a series of colour band on a very small resistor. have some difficulty on using the bread board =X need to practice more...

lecture for DE. the class was kind of noisy and rowdy. we learnt decimal and binary system. analogous and digital system. the pace was quite fast. was kind of lost but my classmates tried helping me too...so afterall not too bad =X

lunch time as usual was superb packed. so we had no choice but to buy bread and sit at a deserted corner... kind of pathetic.

again, it's engineering maths. then the cher taught radicals. followed by two hour tutorial. goodness.. the maths tutor........ haiz....dunno how to say too...tell u guys more if i see u on sun.

Day 3
sch starts half an hour late today. saw kia yong and his sister on the train to yishun. ky was telling me there were going to be late. but true, it's already 7.40 when they alight at yishun.. hope that managed to run to yj in time.

Lecture for PEEE. again, as cher for the PEEE practical. goodness! he talk crap again... seriously, took half an hour to do so. for the first chapt, he used up 20 mins to complete teaching! goodness.. and wat's more superb, he taught chapter 2, that consist of 40 pages in 30 minutes! faint! he didn't cover much. no wonder he kept saying his students were very hardworking. of course must hard working, it not really very jia lat if the class depend on him. so he let us off early. wat's cool is that he said that this yr got euro cup.. then he said we can negotiate and dun come if our class want to watch euro cup. goodness... really can faint lahs.

then we went for this lesson where we were taught to use autocad. hmmm... the tutor also talked a lot of crap too. he said diploma graduates are worth 1.3 m after working for 39 years in society. he asked us if this was enough to last us for a life time. only one in our class said yes, the rest dun think so. so he asked for our reasons. gooodness... den he go calculate the amt needed for our reasons and said there's still 600k for us to show off... and say it's enough... but still my class dun agree even though he insist. haiz... some say got inflation den he defend by saying salary itself will adjust. wooo.. feel like asking him what about stagflation.. but on thinking twice.. i shut my mouth. then he told us those bonuses in banks and sia.. what four months, six months, eight months bonuses those executives members can earn a year. ok lah, one hour past before he proceed to formal lesson. played around autocad for one hour before we were dismissed at 12.

so i stayed back sch to wait for the screeing of cambodian documentary at 4 by a canadian flimmaker. went to food court one and did my hw.. goodness.. the food court was kind of old and the tables were dirty too. =X after that, i took a detour to reach mlt 1. but it's a good experience, ownself exploring sp workshops. but got a lot of bees buzzing around=S

the flim was ok ok but a bit boring. still, i find that it's a very meaningful documentary. it interviews landmines victims in cambodia. overheard a conversation btw two girls in mandarin,"these victims so cool! no limps or with one limps can do things that we ordinary people can't do." well, i really salute these victims. though they are handicapped, their hearts and minds were not! i hae a lot to learn from them.

Day 4

lesson starts at 10 today.

had character development lesson. played ice breaking games and i finally get to know my classmates' name. cheeky chan, joyful jolene, hopeful hui yin, numb nigel, responsible rahman, zilious zheng jie, careful chong lin, amazing andrew, nice nick, victor victor, energetic edmund, smart siva, friendly fancis, jesty joe, micky mustafa, macho matthew, laughy lester.

were brief about the module and grading system... seems like sp really take cd seriously. suppose to work as a group and do a cip activity and then present our reflections.

again, it's PEEE lecture! goodness, suppose to start at 1.30 to 3 de. guess what! the lecturer let us off at 2.30. half hour crap, half hour teach one chapt. sent for laptop for repair. was kind of early, coz of that lecture so waited for half an hour before it's my booking time. was so frustrated with this laptop.. gave me lots of problem eversince i bought it on 7th april. Grrrr~ how i wish auntie jie min gave me her advice before i purchase this laptop.

Day 5 Fri
As usual, sch starts at 8 for me. but saw karen and audrey mah today. so journey to sch wasn't boring =)

TCS- Teamwork and Communication skills.
another round of project work thingy.. how to work well with the group etc. played two activites. posing as a group and the nut and bolt thingy. kind of lame.. but it's a module all sp students must take. haiz... makes me rmb of the good old days in yj doing pw with simon, meifong, wei jie and kia yong. man, i'll never forget these days de.

was thought about forming, storming, norming and performance. hmmm...wonder how effective this module will be for me for this whole semester...it's just like another round of pw...just tt we are taught abt conflict management etc..aiya, u guys know bahs.

then went to PEEE tutorial. goodness! he teacher was really like a lao wan tong. he even allow the guys to video him! really siao siao kind, like soo teck that type de. one interesting thing he said that if he doesn't release us in half and hour which was suppose to be an hour half tutorial he said he is a failure. goodness... really, nv met such a funny tutor before. i show u guys the video on sun. if i forget, u guys MUST remind me! it's a must watch movie clip! super funny. soo teck no. 2! muahaha. my class was pactically laughing throughout his lesson or rather his entertainment. den when the guys starting going near him for movie clip.. he started become very lame. he said aiya, dun video lah, later they choose me to act then i cannot teach you guys. *_* duh! but super funny lahs. hahas.. it's been long since i enjoy myself this must, facy laughing throughout the tutorial.
