Our Australia Graduation Trip

The photos shall pretty much sum up the two fabulous week I have with my boy. This graduation trip would not be possible for his persistence and great planning in it. Love him to the moon and back! It is also the trip we learnt more about each other as well as our living habits >.<

Day 0 - The beginning
At Changi Airport waiting for our flight!

First Stop - Melbourne
Day 1

With the first monthsary gift while on our way to our hotel in the bus

Queen Victoria Market

Stopped by Gloria Jean's Coffees for a coffee break and nutella donut (the hot craze in Australia currently)

With the new charm from him to signify this very first month
From me
Celebrated our first month at an Italian restaurant over a special glass of bubble champagne he pre-ordered

Day 2

Our very first road trip! Along the Great Ocean Road to catch the 12 Apostles
In our rented Nissan Pulsar. Driver of course is my boy and I am his navigator!

A quick stop over to visit some shops along the way

Gorgeous view of the Torquay beach

with the car we rented for this road trip

Topping up fuel

Manage to catch a Cessna airplane to hover over the great ocean road scenic view and of course, manage to catch an aerial view of twelve apostles
Aerial View of the wonder twelve apostle in Melbourne! Fantastic!

Night ride to our accomodation. The lane was eerily dark and we got to high beam all the way. Road was curvy as well, not a very pleasant drive.

Finally reached our accommodation at Geelong.
Day 3
Road trip back to Melbourne
At Werribee Zoo where we have a safari experience by getting a close up experience with the animals

Puffy Billy! Caught an old steam train that travelled through scenic area in Melbourne. Our hairs were full of ashes from the steam but it was a great experience though!

The steam train stopped by for some refilling!

My boy let me drive back to our next accommodation in Melbourne

Day 4
A day at Phillip Island - our very second road trip!
First stop at Maru!

Next we stop by a chocolate factory. Had fun learning and engaging in some interactive chocolate making process. Their chocolate drink is one of the most awesome drink i ever had! so chocolaty!

My boy decided to have a quick drop at this beautiful beach for some photos along the way to our next destination

A Maze N things! Their maze was one of the largest in Australia but my boy and I worked as a great team to go through the maze!

While waiting for the penguin parade to start

Manage to take some penguin photo discretely with the xiaoyi camera we bought just for this trip. This camera is just so amazing! It can capture quite a nice picture in very dark setting!
Day 5 - Sydney!
Our third road trip to the blue mountain! Rented the car from Sydney airport the moment we touch down!
We (or rather he) paid more to rent a good car this time after having some bad experiences with normal sedan car on our first and second road trip. Hyundai Veloster rocks! Engine and power is really good and it consumes very little fuel compared to the nissan pulsar! The car is very new too!

Stopped by at a town for a rest

Just look at our food portion! this is insane! for $25 bucks each, we get such great servings! My lamb shanks were horribly big and my boy was laughing at me. But he helped me finish up at the end of the day. from then on, we only ordered one main in the rest of the restaurant we visit and perhaps some side dishes or appetizer!

Continue our journey after a heavy lunch, resuming our roles for this trip >.<

while setting up the tripod and camera for the 3 sister views

Before the formal photoshoot, let us take a selfie with the three sisters of the blue mountain and they are the reason why we got into this road trip!

Stopped over to take a picture with our car! it was really cool that the top of the car can be retracted!

Road trip scenery in the evening!

Playing around with the retractable car roof

Finally we reach the destination of the day! Jenolan cave! definitely a breath taking view at the entrance! We stayed in the hotel for the night before we head on to explore one of the cave the next morning

Had a hearty meal before we head off to rest in our hotel!

Day 6

Daylight view of the hotel we stayed at Jenolan's before we depart for Sydney central

Jenolan Cave tour. Awesome to the max! We will be back for other cave exploration!

Colourful effects of the light installed in the cave

Entrance of Jenolan Cave

Popping our head out of the car roof to take a scenic picture

Selfie during a stop over!

Decided to have a quick drop at Botanic Garden along the way back to Sydney Central.

Had freshly baked apply pie while on the road back. Light fruity snacks! Yums!

Back in Sydney Central. Awaiting for the Captain Cook Cruises to bring us along the river of Sydney while we dine in his boat!

At the deck of Captain Cook Cruises

Night view of Opera House with some camera effects

Sydney Habour bridge in the night

Day 7
Didn't manage to catch the all famous nutella milk shake as the queue was horrendously long and we got to catch the boat to Goat Island! Almost miss the boat!
While on a boat trip to Goat Island

Day view of the Sydney Opera house

Day view of the harbor bridge! Can't get enough of it,

Goat Island's abandoned keeper's house since 1965

Abandoned Gun Powder Factory

Bought cheap IMAX tickets from Groupon before we came! Managed to catch our long due Mission Impossible from the big screen in Sydney!

Day 8
Highlight of the day was this Sydney Bridge Climb! The sweet boy manage to overcome his fear of height just because I wanted to do this climb so badly. Love you!

Midway of the bridge climb

Top of the bridge

A good seafood meal after the climb! Had white wine, ice bucket prawns, fish and chips and clam chowder from this famous blue fish restaurant in Sydney! Awesome food! Got photo bomb by the two Caucasians behind!

Toured around the famous Sydney Fish Market. They sell lots of fresh seafood at reasonable price. But be ware of the greedy seagulls when you eat outdoor!

Passed by a Cathedral along the way to Queen Victoria Shopping Centre

Rainy! But my boy is here is shelter me with his big umbrella! hahas.

Outside Queen Victoria Shopping mall

Within the building of the Queen Victoria shopping mall

Symmetrical and concentric!

Symmetrical interior of the building

Once again outside the Sydney Opera house! But this time, we bought tickets to catch a performance inside the performance theatre! Shakespeare and it's wonderful musical band!
Day 9 - Brisbane, Gold Coast
The moment we stepped on the ground of Brisbane, we head straight to hotel for check in and head out for another climb, just one day after the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb! Skypoint climb at Q1 building [270 meters above sea level]! hahas... my boy was sure petrified of the height again but as he knew i love doing such climbs, he braved himself to go with me. Didn't manage to skydive this time, guess I need to work harder to persuade him to do it together. hehe!

Complimentary Observation deck views for the climbers of this building. We had some indoor aerial view of Gold Coast as well as light snacks before we begin our climb of this building.
Turns out my boy is more daring in leaning out of the building than me.

we were just playing around on the top of the building until our instructor ask us to pose for his camera
Caught two 7D cinema shortly after the climb. it was just a stone's throw away. We manage to buy the tickets via groupon before this trip and we managed to catch two movies. Definitely a great experience with the moving chairs, waters, wind, feelers effects that comes along the horror and adventurous movies we caught respectively.
Yummilicious dinner before we continue our itinerary of the day. This time we just ordered one main and one appetizer after the past experience. Feed us well! Had to fight with the pigeons and keep a lookout of them before they peck at our food.
\
A place for the curious minded!
Surfers Paradise!

Retreat to our hotel to rest for the day. Taking photos with the night view from our balcony.

Favourite boy besides my family
Day 10

Movie World Theme Park by Warner Bros.
Charlie and the Chocolate factory

Watching some car drifting performance while munching away on our chips and burger

Mascot Parade!

Next on, we moved to outback spectacular for a horse riding performance over a three course meal. This performance is something like Cavalia, just that we can dine over the performance. The steaks and apple pies were awesome and so were the performance!

Day 11

Woke at 3am for the hot air balloon ride. Don't know why all the hot air balloon rides in Australia starts at 4am. Anyway, it was truly an experience. Another event off my bucket list with this lovely boy!
It is evident we aren't fully awake at this hour. hahas! the team behind are setting up the balloon.

the hot air balloon is up!

can't get enough of the hot air balloon!

Only us the two fools wore such thin clothing.. it was freaking cold in the early morning. Am glad the flame kept us warm during the entire trip.

high high up the sky! 5000 ft above the ground!

Breakfast buffet provided by the hot air balloon at a winery.

Head to sea world thereafter. The sea world is quite disappointing for most of it is under construction. The crowd was relatively small too as compared to movie world.

Day 12 - Last full day of fun in Australia
Good times sure pass by very fast!

The boy always believe in a good night of stay on the very last night. He went ahead with the hotel booking while keeping me in the dark (of course, his treat >.<) . Didn't want to reveal the hotel to me until we check in at the very last moment. Very sweet boy. Alas.. it's......

CROWNE PLAZA with king superior oceanview! This is my very first time staying in such a high class hotel.
awesome and gorgeous view of the sea from the balcony!

checking in at the reception

Interior view of our hotel room on our very last night of the trip!
Night Scenery from our hotel balcony

The atas hotel has got really great customer service
Our very last theme park of the trip!

First time bringing our Xiao Yi camera to the water

The most epic and inaugural underwater shots for us. hahas! The camera works pretty well under water and the picture quality is perfect too!

He caught me lazing around the pool! hahas.

A very fun water theme park!

Strolled along the beach at night while waiting for our feast at the top of crowne plaza of a revolving restaurant [four winds 360 degree]

Thumbs up for this Xiaoyi camera which can capture such great night view in such a dark condition!

Manage to chance upon the flea market along surfers paradise!

Fresh seafood! Was lazy to peel the shell, so the sweet boy did it for me. Aren't I lazy? hahas... perhaps only infront of this boy bah >.<

Yummy desserts

not forgetting the mains!
And so a great feasty buffet dinner with 360 view of gold coast in our last night concludes our trip! Thanks my boy for such a happy ending of my long awaited grad trip!

Last day - closing chapter of my grad trip

Playing around in the Brisbane airport

Flying back! Home sweet home!

Really beautiful skyline out there. This is the very first time i manage to see such nice views. Probably I don't usually take flights at normal timing.

Twilight! A beautiful ending of our wonderful first trip together!

The first meet up between our parents were rather awkward when they met at the airport before we fly off for the trip. Am glad the second time they met when they went to pick us up, was better and more at ease. And my, it was certainly quite nervous to meet his parents for the very first time.

This is my trip before I move on to the next chapter of my life. Thanks boy for creating such wonderful memories for us :)
