The weather can never be this great! it's the annual BB and GB enrolment and dedication service whereby it is a special ceremony esp for the sec 1s recruits. how fortunate are they. my btach missed this awesome ceremony as it was affected by the SARS period. it is a day, where all sec 1s recruit took the oath before God in the chapel (as well as for the officers and NCOs too) and are officially accepted in the big GB family. during the parade, their parents were also invited to help pin the recruit very first badge on their haversack. haiz.. all these happens annually but only our btach, we weren't that fortunate.
The new GB family! we graduates were invited to take this photos =D
Escorts and officers saluting to the colour party during inspection. i was given the honour to be the flag barrier in the 07 enrolment. before that, was an escort in my sec sch. i think from this yr onwards, they are only allowing officers to be the flag barrier. so i was considered fortunate to carry the flag as an NCO =X

this is my junior. under my squad at the time i was in phs. i'm really proud of her! she received her best SSGT award yst. she's also an official drill instructor in GB. oh ya, this is the first yr that GB giving out best recruit awards, best LCP award, best SGT award and best SSGT award! my batch was like eyeball big big when they heard of this award. they were jokingly saying must be our year/batch a lot of best NCOs le.. they don't dare to have this award. lol! we BHB! B-)
ahh yes.. another proud moment for me again. this junior was under my squad. i only get to know her for a yr cox she came in that time i was in sec 4. she got to be inside my squad for the inter drill competition(and we won for that yr =D ). now as a leader of a squad, she managed to lead her own squad to champion the inter squad competition last yr. by the way, the big trophy has not been updated since 8 yrs ago till now. lol!

"Homat-kakanan-ho--mat!"

My batch taking photo with the colour bearer and the colour escort =) there's a lot more of my batch who didn't turn up today. hopefully most of them will turn up for the upcoming outing. i really had a good time catching up with those who came. i was MIA for a yr and was scolded by them lol! hahas... there was a down period for me that i avoided practically everyone. now it's time to put down the past and do more catch with ppl who i nv see for along time. i realised i missed out a lot of their changes in life. i guess BGR topic is common among us now as went for our coffee session after the enrolement service.. hahas.. to think of in our sec sch days we were like saying we love remaining single. but then for now, the one most nu qiang ren is the first among us to be attached! hahas.

Me with the drill committee. i was very touched when Laura still consider me as part of their drill committee. i thought i was kicked out long ago as i have not been rendering much of my service in the drill committee for the past 2 yrs upon my graduation from phs.

Laura and I. i've seen her promote from a girl to an officer. how we met started off quite interesting. it all started 5 yrs ago when i was in sec 3. what happen to us i think is able to write a book. hahas... it all started with me being assigned to her colour escort and she being my flag bearer in the 2005 enrolement service. didn't started off quite well though for the 2 of us.. to her i was like urgh... she didn't know me well and i was being assign to her as her colour escort. she was hoping to get a junior that was closer to her to be her colour escort. to me she like.. urgh.. my senior.. haiz... so demanding. lol! really... but as we mix around longer we realise we got very close to a point that some of us were doubting if we two are having normal friendship not. LOl! not lah.. it's just close sisterly friendship. however, there's some nasty incident that happen in this sisterly friendship. kind of personal but will roughly sum it up with the reason being us not being frank with each other. turn so bad that someone has to intervene to mediate for the two of us. hahas.. thinking back it was kind of silly. i thought it was going to be the end of two of us. however, God has a way of restoring the relationship for the two of us when we went for the cambodia mission trip last yr. i tell you, one yr can bring a lot of changes. so without contacting each other for a yr, and ta-dang we went to cambodia trip. initially, i was quite reluctant to go when i found out. was afraid there may be some awkwardness btw us. but i tell you, really... it's a big miracle that we immediately hit off well during the trip. i realised she changed a lot and is the result of letting God into her life now. she is truly my respectable officer, sister and role model now. as the two of us learn to look up to God for the past 1 yr... i think God is really merciful to restore the sisterly relationship back... this time i would say sister in Christ relationship and not just any typical sisterly relationship. true, it was a painful lesson learnt for me but in the end we gain something during the process.

This is my junior bernice. kana sabo for being one of the march babies. she has grown to become a more mature girl and is even leading her juniors now. also, she's my kaki for the logistics stuffs now. hahas. nice working with her as she's not afraid of lizards and cockroaches. lol! =X hahas.
I really had a good day yst. besides being able to catch up with my batch and the officers, i saw how some of my juniors have grown to take up various important post in GB. truly, this is the work of God in their life. =)
