Dad got to work on a public holiday, so my mum, bro, sis and i cabbed down to Lim Chu Kang in the early morning to my ah gong's graveyard for qing ming aka tomb sweeping.
Even though it was an early morning of 7.30am, the cemetery was already quite crowded le. around 8am, traffic congestion happened. Upon reaching there, we cleaned the tomb stone and laid out the offerings. Some tiles of my ah gong's tombstone had already dropped out and we have to go back there again when we are free to fix the tiles.
There, and not forgetting the toaist traditional ritual of burning offerings to our deceased. I saw that on those "dollar notes"and "gold bars" imprinted on those items were "the hell bank corporation". After so many years of annual tomb sweeping, it is only this yr that i realise that there is such a bank operating in somewhere operating for the deceased.
It was really inconvenient to go Lim Chu Kang Cemetery without a car. we had to walk some distance down the main road to a ulu bus stop. i think the bus stops there are mainly for army personnels. when the bus finally arrived, we saw all the botak soldiers already in the bus..booked out and ready to head home or the town. hahas.
The bus brought us to Lot 1 and we had subway cum KFC for breakfast! Yummy Yummy! Thereafter we shop round Lot 1 for a while.
it was already noon time when we decided to head to the train station. Mum and i decided to alight at causeway to continue shopping while my siblings went back first. hahas.. after which my mum and i went to amk hub to shop. Really shop till we drop XD
That was the part 1 of my 2010 good friday.
